Winter Camp 2008 (Gilwell)
Nine members of the EFS Explorer Unit stayed at Gilwell Scout Activity centre, Chingford, Essex over the weekend of 11th to 13th January 2008 as part of the Gilwell Winter Camp. More than 2500 young people enjoyed a relatively dry weekend (during the day, not quite the same in the evening) although the campsite did resemble Glastonbury before most people arrived on the Friday night. There were a lot of activities on offer including climbing, high ropes, quad bikes, fun fair, simulator, robot wars, laser shooting to name just a few. There was also some media coverage during the weekend to help promote the new activity badges being launched for 2008.
