Due to the adverse weather conditions at the weekend the easter camp was cancelled. However, this did not stop those Explorers from having an interesting weekend.
Friday saw them pitch our new dinning shelters as well as cooking lunch on Trangia cookers. Both meths and gas burners were used to see the advantages and disadvatages of both. In the afternoon some navigation exercises were undertaken.
Saturday the group was split into two groups and let loose in London. They were challenged to complete as much of the traditional Monopoly board destinations as possible. Tom, Edward and Oliver were also invested under Marble Arch and the end of the adventure.
Sunday involved hiking around Epping Forest in two parts. The first saw the group navigate around 11km in the morning with them getting lost only a few times. Whilst the night hike took them on a different route with only two errors and one of those being a fallen tree obscuring the path.
Although we had weather problems that caused us to change our plans at the last minute, we feel that the weekend was an overall success.
